Graham Edwards is a veterans’ advocate and 2016 WA Senior Australian of the Year. He has been a parliamentary representative at both a state and federal level with a combined service of 25 years, actively contributing to defence, disability services and veterans’ policies.  He is also a passionate supporter of the paralympic movement and veterans’ rights. More recently, as state president of the Returned & Services League of Australia, Graham oversaw a membership base of 10,000 people, sat by bedsides, lobbied government for funding and organised large events to commemorate the sacrifice made by many, particularly the 2015 centenary of Gallipoli.

Graham is being hosted by the City of Albany as part of a special Anzac Albany 2018 schedule of community activities. He will be in conversation with the Sue Lefroy, co-ordinator of the Albany History Collection, who will explore a range of topics in the Anzac Albany 2018 theme. Please join us for this special free event from 5.30pm on 26 July 2018.
