Adjusted Library Services

Western Australia remains in Phase 4 of the Covid-19 roadmap. The easing of restrictions allows us to open in the evening and on the weekend again. As part of this, we will be offering an adjusted library service, including:

  • Running an enhanced Home Library Service, to ensure the most vulnerable in our community are still able to access library services.

  • Stronger, face-to-face customer service presence.

  • PCs and printing, with more computers being brought online.

  • Return of adapted community programs and events.

  • Participation in the Beanstack Mindfulness Challenge

  • Access to LibraryCraft, a supervised Minecraft server. You can find out more here.

  • Sign up to our newsletter to stay up-to-date.

Covid-19 Restrictions

  • All visitors to the Library must complete mandatory contact tracing, as per the WA State Government direction. This can be done by using the SafeWA app and scanning the Library QR code or by completing the manual contact register.

  • The SafeWA app can be downloaded from the App Store (Apple) or the Google Play Store.

  • Having a contact register supports public health efforts to reduce the risk of an uncontrolled COVID-19 outbreak in WA. If a person tests positive to COVID-19, contact registers will help the Department of Health to quickly and easily contact people who may have been in the same location, at the same time.

  • Capacity is determined by the 2sqm rule - we ask that all patrons observe physical distancing while in the library.

  • Hand sanitiser is provided at the entry and throughout the Library.
