Rare and Endangered Birds - South Coast Festival of Birds and Biodiversity
Thursday 5th March 2020
Albany Library is delighted to once again be hosting talks as part of the annual South Coast Festival of Birds and Biodiversity.
The Library’s first event will be “Rare and Endangered - the birds we may lose forever". This will be a joint presentation by BirdLife and the Friends of the Western Ground Parrot with the speakers being Paul Wettin (FWGP) and Anne Bondin (BirdLife). Recent bushfires have put the focus on threatened species and as it turns out, many of our own birds are in trouble. Western Australia's rarest bird is the Western Ground Parrot which is staring extinction in the face.
Book online or call 08 6820 3600 to secure your place at this event.
