Learning gives us knowledge of the world around us. It can better help us transform into something new - something better. Be it for a hobby or leisure, for professional development or to contribute to our community.  Why not begin or continue your learning by looking at some of the great things on offer at Albany Public Library.

  • Borrow a book to learn a new skill or craft

  • Use a computer to research that subject you always wanted to know more about

  • Grab one of our language learning resources

  • Improve your digital literacy by attending a Digital Drop-in session

  • Attend a Book Chat session to get some reading inspiration

  • Pick up a crochet hook and have a go at a Loop by Loop session

  • Go online and learn about using the library eResources

  • If you are a writer come along to our Writing and Editing Workshop on the 9th September

  • Learn about Bee Keeping at our session on the 23rd September

  • Practice language learning online with Transparent Languages

  • Come along to Kanga Words to learn a new board game

  • Drop-in to the Albany History Collection and take a look at all the history that is right on our doorstep

  • Visit the Family History Group on a Tuesday or Friday morning

  • Take a look at our online resources Computer School to see if there is something to learn
